Lawyer Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and commercially minded Lawyer to join our legal team and provide high-quality legal advice across a range of matters. You will support business units in managing legal risk, drafting and negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. You are pragmatic, business-savvy, and able to provide clear guidance in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive legal advice to internal business teams on a wide range of commercial matters
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts including customer agreements, vendor contracts, and partnerships
• Identify and manage legal risks across commercial, employment, IP, data privacy, and regulatory areas
• Support compliance with applicable laws and regulations in all relevant jurisdictions
• Manage and coordinate external legal counsel on specialist matters
• Develop and maintain legal templates, playbooks, and standard operating procedures
• Advise on employment law matters including hiring, performance management, and terminations
• Support corporate governance including board resolutions, filings, and entity management

Requirements

• Law degree (JD, LLB, or equivalent) from an accredited institution
• Admission to practice in the relevant jurisdiction
• 3+ years of post-qualification legal experience (in-house or private practice)
• Strong commercial contract drafting and negotiation skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication — able to translate legal advice into business terms
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
• High professional and ethical standards

Nice to Have

• In-house legal experience at a technology or SaaS company
• Knowledge of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA)
• Experience with intellectual property, employment law, or regulatory compliance
• Exposure to M&A or fundraising transactions
