Social Worker Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Social Worker to provide high-quality support and intervention to individuals and families facing complex social challenges. You will carry a caseload of vulnerable clients, conducting assessments, developing care plans, coordinating services, and advocating for the best interests of those you work with. Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments for individuals, children, and families
• Develop, implement, and review person-centred care and support plans
• Provide direct support, counselling, and crisis intervention as required
• Coordinate with multi-agency partners including healthcare, education, housing, and justice
• Manage a statutory or non-statutory caseload in line with relevant legislation and frameworks
• Prepare reports for court proceedings, reviews, and multi-agency meetings
• Safeguard vulnerable adults and children in line with relevant safeguarding frameworks
• Maintain accurate, timely case records using the relevant case management system
• Participate in reflective supervision and professional development

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work
• Current social work registration/license in the relevant jurisdiction
• Experience in a social work setting (statutory or non-statutory)
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and statutory frameworks
• Strong risk assessment and safeguarding skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage a complex caseload under pressure

Nice to Have

• Experience in a specialist area (child protection, mental health, adults with disabilities)
• Practice Educator or supervisory experience
• Bilingual skills relevant to the client population
• Experience with specific case management systems
