Teacher Job Description

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons aligned to the relevant curriculum
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of all students
• Assess student learning through formative and summative assessment and provide meaningful feedback
• Maintain a positive, inclusive, and orderly learning environment
• Build strong, respectful relationships with students that support wellbeing and achievement
• Communicate regularly and constructively with parents and guardians
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, professional learning, and school improvement
• Participate in professional development to maintain and enhance teaching practice
• Contribute to school life beyond the classroom — extracurricular activities, events, committees

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Education or a relevant subject discipline
• Teaching qualification and current registration with the relevant regulatory body
• Strong knowledge of the relevant curriculum and assessment frameworks
• Demonstrated ability to plan engaging, differentiated lessons
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students, parents, and colleagues
• Commitment to inclusive education and high expectations for all learners
• Ability to manage a classroom environment effectively

Nice to Have

• Experience with students with additional learning needs (SEN/SPED)
• Proficiency with educational technology platforms (Google Classroom, Canvas)
• Experience in pastoral care or student wellbeing coordination
• Second language skills relevant to student population
