Data Analyst Job Description

We are hiring a Data Analyst to help us understand our business better through data. You will own the analysis of key metrics, build dashboards, investigate trends, and deliver actionable insights to stakeholders across the company. You are detail-oriented, intellectually curious, and skilled at telling clear stories with data.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement
• Build and maintain dashboards and reports used by leadership and business teams
• Partner with product, marketing, and operations to answer key business questions
• Design and analyze A/B tests, interpreting results with appropriate statistical rigor
• Ensure data quality and accuracy in all reporting and analysis
• Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations
• Develop and maintain documentation for key metrics and data definitions
• Support the data team in improving data infrastructure and tooling

Requirements

• 2+ years of data analysis or business intelligence experience
• Advanced SQL skills — complex joins, aggregations, window functions
• Experience with BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or Metabase)
• Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for ad-hoc analysis
• Solid understanding of business metrics and KPI frameworks
• Strong communication skills — ability to present insights to non-technical audiences
• Analytical mindset and high attention to detail

Nice to Have

• Experience with Python or R for statistical analysis
• Familiarity with dbt or data transformation frameworks
• Knowledge of funnel analysis, cohort analysis, and retention metrics
• Experience with data warehouse platforms (Snowflake, BigQuery)
