Data Scientist Job Description

We are looking for a Data Scientist to turn complex data into actionable insights and predictive models that drive business decisions. You will work closely with product, engineering, and leadership to frame problems, design analyses, build models, and communicate findings that shape strategy. You bring rigor, curiosity, and the ability to work independently from question to answer.

Responsibilities

• Define analytical questions in collaboration with product, marketing, and operations teams
• Design and execute experiments (A/B tests, observational studies) to measure impact
• Build predictive models and ML systems that drive product and business decisions
• Perform exploratory data analysis to surface patterns and generate hypotheses
• Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
• Build and maintain dashboards and reporting infrastructure for key business metrics
• Ensure data quality and flag issues that affect analytical accuracy
• Contribute to the data science codebase and peer-review analyses

Requirements

• 3+ years of data science or applied analytics experience
• Strong programming skills in Python (pandas, scikit-learn, statsmodels)
• Excellent SQL skills for data extraction and transformation
• Solid understanding of statistical inference, regression, and experimental design
• Experience with machine learning — classification, regression, clustering, NLP
• Ability to communicate complex findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders
• Experience with data visualization tools (Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly, or Tableau)

Nice to Have

• Experience with causal inference methods
• Familiarity with deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow)
• Experience with big data tools (Spark, Databricks)
• Knowledge of NLP or computer vision techniques
