Nurse Job Description

We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to assess patient needs, implement care plans, administer treatments, and provide emotional support to patients and their families. You are clinically excellent, highly organized, and dedicated to making every patient feel safe and respected.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs and clinical indicators
• Plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, allied health professionals, and support staff
• Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment, and self-care
• Document all care accurately and in a timely manner in the EHR system
• Identify and escalate changes in patient condition promptly
• Uphold infection prevention and patient safety standards at all times
• Support junior staff and students through mentorship and clinical guidance

Requirements

• Current nursing registration/license in the relevant jurisdiction
• Minimum 1 year of post-qualification clinical experience
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage a busy patient caseload
• Commitment to patient safety and quality care
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems

Nice to Have

• Specialty certification (ICU, ED, Oncology, Paediatrics, etc.)
• Experience with specific patient populations relevant to the role
• Charge nurse or team leadership experience
• BLS/ACLS certification
